About The Welcome Place
Partnering with homeschool families to support meaningful learning, growth, and community.
Our Mission
At The Welcome Place, our mission is to partner with homeschool families by providing meaningful academic support within a collaborative learning community. We believe students grow best when they are known, encouraged, and challenged in an environment that values both learning and connection.
Our Philosophy
Education is not one-size-fits-all. Each student develops at their own pace and brings unique strengths, interests, and goals. At The Welcome Place, we walk alongside families to support that journey—offering structure, guidance, and encouragement as students grow in confidence, responsibility, and independence.
Our programs are designed to complement a family’s homeschool plan while creating opportunities for students to learn alongside peers, develop strong academic habits, and build lasting friendships.

A Note from the Founder
As both an educator and a homeschool parent, I understand the unique joys and challenges that come with guiding a child’s education.
With more than 25 years of experience in education—teaching students across all grade levels and earning a Doctorate in Educational Technology—I have always been passionate about creating learning environments where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to grow.
The Welcome Place was created from that vision. I wanted to build a space where students could learn in a safe and welcoming environment, where friendships could develop naturally, and where homeschool families could find meaningful connection and support.
As a homeschool parent myself, I know how valuable community can be. The Welcome Place exists to come alongside families as a partner in education—supporting students as they grow in confidence, curiosity, and readiness for the next stage of their journey.

The Learning Journey
A Learning Community
The Welcome Place is more than a place for classes—it is a community where families connect, students build friendships, and learning happens in collaboration. We believe education is strengthened when students feel supported, encouraged, and part of something meaningful.
